Honoring Helen Hunt Jackson


Join us as we celebrate the indelible legacy of Helen Hunt Jackson, a powerful literary voice and tireless advocate for the Native Americans of our nation. Best known for her impactful novel, Ramona, which stirred the conscience of a generation, Jackson's work continues to resonate today.  We are thrilled to announce that Helen Hunt Jackson will be honored with a star on the Hemet Walk of Stars! This is a momentous occasion to recognize her significant contributions to literature and her unwavering dedication to social justice.

Please join us on this day as we recognize Helen Hunt Jackson's contributions in this indelible way, to stand as a testament for generations to come of the importance of her remarkable, extensive influence on literature and social change by installing a Star on the Walk of Stars in Palm Springs

Following the installation of the Star for Helen Hunt Jackson join us bringing home the st event at the Historic Hemet Theater.  With both live entertainment and filmed tributes we will continue the celebration, saluting the amazing legacy of Helen Hunt Jackson and her book RAMONA, through which great honor and revenue have come to the Hemet and San Jacinto Valley for over a century.


Donation: $20 (includes refreshments, entertainment and 1 ticket to Ramona)
